The Process Control Utility is a cross-functional role responsible for supporting laboratory testing, final product inspection, wastewater treatment operations, and process control monitoring. Employees in this position will be trained across multiple functional areas within the department and may be assigned to perform duties in one specific area during a shift based on operational needs.\nThe role ensures product quality, regulatory compliance, environmental compliance, and stable production processes through testing, inspection, monitoring, and documentation\nKey Responsibilities\nFollow established procedures, testing methods, and regulatory requirements.\nMaintain accurate records, logs, and electronic documentation.\nCommunicate results, deviations, and issues to supervisors and production personnel.\nFollow all safety, environmental, and quality standards.\nMaintain and calibrate equipment as required.\nParticipate in troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities.\nSupport audits, inspections, and compliance activities.\nMaintain housekeeping and organization within assigned work areas.\nAssist in training other personnel when qualified.\nFunctional Responsibilities\nLaboratory Technician\nPerform routine laboratory tests on raw materials, and finished products.\nRecord and report analytical results.\nMaintain laboratory instruments and perform routine calibrations.\nEnsure compliance with laboratory quality standards.\nFinal Product Inspector\nInspect finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications and customer requirements.\nConduct visual inspections and dimensional or physical tests as required.\nDocument inspection results and identify non-conforming materials.\nCoordinate with production to address quality issues.\nMaintain inspection records and reports.\nWastewater Treatment Technician\nMonitor and operate wastewater treatment systems to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.\nCollect and test wastewater samples.\nAdjust treatment processes as needed to maintain proper parameters.\nMaintain logs, reports, and regulatory documentation.\nAssist with maintenance and monitoring of treatment equipment.\nProcess Control Technician\nMonitor production processes and equipment parameters.\nCollect and analyze process samples.\nIdentify process deviations and make corrective actions.\nAssist with process adjustments to maintain product specifications.\nMaintain records related to process monitoring and quality control.\nTraining and Cross-Training Expectations\nEmployees in this role are expected to develop proficiency in multiple functional areas within the department. While individuals may be assigned to a specific role during a shift, they will be progressively trained in laboratory testing, final inspection, wastewater treatment operations, and process control functions.\nCross-training enhances operational flexibility and supports departmental coverage.\nQualifications\nHigh School diploma or GED required\nExperience in laboratory testing, manufacturing quality, wastewater treatment, or process operations is beneficial.\nAbility to follow technical procedures and maintain accurate documentation.\nMust possess good communication skills\nBasic computer skills for data entry and reporting.\nStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.\nWilling and able to rotate shifts to cover as needed.\nWork Environment & Physical Requirements\nWork may occur in laboratory, production floor, or wastewater treatment environments.\nUse of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.\nAbility to stand, walk, climb stairs, lift materials (40 lbs), and work around industrial equipment.\nExposure to chemicals, wastewater systems, and manufacturing processes (PPE will be supplied).\nMaintain accurate records, logs, and electronic documentation.\nCommunicate results, deviations, and issues to supervisors and production personnel.\nFollow all safety, environmental, and quality standards.\nMaintain and calibrate equipment as required.\nParticipate in troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities.\nSupport audits, inspections, and compliance activities.\nMaintain housekeeping and organization within assigned work areas.\nAssist in training other personnel when qualified.\nJoin us in a role where your technical skills drive innovation!
