Operate forklift, electrical hoist, or other power-driven equipment to load or move material and supply the production area with needed materials from inventory. Load or unload material onto or from pallets, trays, or shelves. Process required paperwork. Work in cooperation with others to ensure the production of quality products.\nJOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nManually or mechanically loadand unloadmaterials from pallets, skids, platforms, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles.\nUnderstandthe negative impact ofrunning out of material to the press, and workto ensure assigned presses do not have shortages of materials needed for production.\nCheckthe moisture of materials.\nMaintain the material feed system.\nOperating controls to drive propane or electric-powered forklift trucks and transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.\nPerformroutine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, fueling, or replacing liquefied gas tanks.\nPosition lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes; secure material or products for transport to designated areas.\nWeigh materials or products, and record weight and other production data on tags or labels.\nLoad, unload, or stack containers, materials, or products.\nOperate packaging machine, banding machine, and other equipment.\nPerform safety inspections of equipment. Accurately scan material, inserts, and finished product.\nInspect product load for accuracy, and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery.\nLearn and use the necessary knowledge of materials and the Plex ERP system. Monitor Plex to stay informed of job and material changes. Completetransactions for materials.\nMaintain 6S activities that have been established.\nConduct accurate inventory transactions for all materials and packaging as needed. Assist technicians in pulling materials in a timely manner.\nKeep walkways clear.\nReport weights of any discarded material to the Supervisor/Lead Technician.\nCommunicate with material handlers on other shifts on a daily basis.\nMake sure all materials are labeled properly and accurately scanned to a location.\nAssist with set up, quality audits, or operate machines to make parts or products.\nRead work orders, instructions, formulas, andprocessing charts.\nMaintain production or work records.\nLook parts up in inventory and complete inventory transactions.\nClean up as needed and also at the end of the shift.\nTraining new employees on proper procedures and techniques.\nRelieve other operators for breaks as needed.\nMust be able to perform repetitive tasks.\nServe on special project teams (Kaizen, 5S, etc.) as assigned.\nThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.\nQUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES):\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.\nNeed vision and hearing abilities necessary for driving.\nThe ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
