The platform supports critical business metrics, product analytics, AI applications, and experimentation systems across the organization.This role sets technical direction, develops and grows engineering talent, and partners with cross-functional teams to ensure the data platform remains reliable, scalable, and aligned with evolving company-wide data needs.Responsibilities• Lead and grow the engineering team responsible for building and operating the data platform• Own team delivery, technical direction, and organizational health• Develop and maintain the data platform roadmap and long-term technical strategy• Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and continued evolution as adoption increases• Hire, develop, mentor, and coach engineers and technical leads to build a high-performing and inclusive team• Partner with Data Science, Product, Finance, and Engineering teams to prioritize initiatives and align technical investments with business objectives• Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions and manage platform vendors when appropriate• Balance predictable delivery with long-term platform investments and technical improvements• Establish engineering practices that support quality, reliability, and sustainable platform growthRequirements• 3+ years of experience managing engineers, including senior individual contributors or technical leads• Proven experience building and scaling high-performing engineering teams• Experience building and scaling production data platforms or infrastructure• Strong software engineering background with senior- or staff-level technical expertise• Ability to establish technical direction and make effective prioritization decisions in ambiguous environments• Strong written communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsPreferred Qualifications• Experience with large-scale data processing systems• Experience supporting applied AI/ML workloads• Familiarity with experimentation platforms• Experience with vendor management and build-versus-buy decisions• Experience rapidly hiring and scaling engineering organizationsPay Range and Compensation Package• Annual base salary range of $258,000 to $376,000 USD• Compensation package includes equity and comprehensive benefits• Additional benefits include health, dental, and vision coverage; retirement benefits with company contributions; parental leave; mental health and wellness programs; paid time off; and other applicable allowancesBenefits & Perks• Health insurance• Dental insurance• Vision insurance• 401(k) with company contributions• Paid maternity leave• Paid paternity leaveEqual Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
