This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful, lasting impact on young lives while developing your skills in education, childcare, and youth engagement.\nKey Responsibilities\nProgram Coordination & Leadership:\nCurriculum & Activity Planning: Plan, coordinate, and implement diverse afterschool activities—including tutoring, sports coaching, arts and crafts, and theater projects—that align with educational standards and developmental needs.\nDaily Operations: Ensure the program runs smoothly, safely, and in alignment with all operational policies and state licensing standards.\nStakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a primary point of contact; collaborate openly with parents, teachers, and community partners to support each child’s individual needs and progress.\nDocumentation & Records: Keep detailed, organized records of daily attendance, behavior logs, incident reports, and participant progress reports.\nInstruction & Classroom Management:\nDirect Instruction & Mentorship: Lead daily recreational and educational sessions to foster creativity, teamwork, and social-emotional learning. Act as a positive role model.\nBehavior Management: Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment using proactive behavior management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques.\nStudent Safety & Health: Supervise children closely during all program hours, transitions, and outdoor play. Adhere strictly to health guidelines, first aid protocols, and CPR/AED emergency procedures.\nQualifications & Skills\nExperience: Proven experience in youth programs, teaching, tutoring, childcare, or camp leadership. Experience working with children of various ages, including those with special education needs or behavioral challenges, is highly valued.\nClassroom Management: Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain order and engagement in a lively, high-energy environment.\nEducation: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a background or college coursework in early childhood education, child development, or a related field is highly desirable.\nCertifications: Certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED operation (or willingness to obtain them immediately upon hire).
