Our hospice teams provide compassionate care for individuals and their families when life matters most.,Gentiva Hospice's Team provides compassionate end of life care to residents of Blair, Bedford, Cambria, Huntingdon, and Centre counties as well as parts of Clearfield, Somerset, Indiana, and Fulton counties.This position is for a volunteer interested in providing direct patient care hours through friendly visits 1 1 with our hospice patients in the Martinsburg/ Roaring Spring area. Some examples of responsibilities may include reading, socialization, companionship, emotional support, crafts, watching tv with the patient, etc. *All onboarding expenses are paid by Gentiva.*Each volunteer brings their own individual life experiences to each patient, caregiver, and family. Our goal as a team is to emphasize the quality of life for our patients. A volunteer can make the final days, weeks, or months of a person's life truly meaningful.
