Senior Build Metrologist

Job Summary We're searching for a Senior Build Metrologist to join our awesome team. If you want to use metrology as a tool for building prototype aircraft using laser trackers, Verisurf, CAD, all things measurement, and combine it with fast prototype construction, this gig is for YOU. This opportunity is in a fast moving small company building prototypes for large customers. Key Responsibilities Assemble: You own the fixturing and positional accuracy of building prototype aircraft structures. Verify: Use your skills with laser trackers and Verisurf software to align parts to specified tolerances. CAD Skills: Need to be comfortable navigating CAD software, manipulating files between CAD and metrology software. Measurement Tools: Become a master of all measurement tools. You'll be using a variety of instruments to ensure top-notch quality. Problem-Solving: When things get tricky, you'll be the one to find creative solutions. Documentation: Meticulous record-keeping is key. Use work instructions and build cards to record build details. Spatial Knowledge: Expert level spatial knowledge of fitting complex geometry parts with very tight tolerances. Required Qualifications 5-15 years experience with laser trackers, Verisurf, and CAD software. A knack for problem-solving and attention to detail. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. Quickly build low tech prototype fixturing to orient one-off parts in 3D space for assembling using high tech tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
