This position is located in Huntsville, AL.\n\nJob Responsibilities/Duties:\n\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain modern C#/.NET web APIs and backend services.\n\nDevelop and maintain RESTful APIs, including data contracts, validation, and authentication/authorization mechanisms.\n\nWrite unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure application quality and reliability.\n\nDesign and implement data access solutions using PostgreSQL.\n\nSupport cybersecurity and data protection requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.\n\nIntegrate front-end components with backend APIs and ensure reliable communication between application layers.\n\nDocument processes, techniques, and best practices for application development and deployment.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of API solutions into existing systems and workflows.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nRequired Experience:\n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.\n\n5+ years of professional software development experience with demonstrated experience building and supporting web applications.\n\nStrong professional experience developing, testing, and maintaining RESTful web APIs in the .NET ecosystem.\n\nExperience working with relational databases, including querying, designing, and optimizing databases.\n\nExperience with PostgreSQL or a comparable relational database.\n\nFamiliarity with software development best practices, including testing, debugging, code reviews, and application performance optimization.\n\nExperience with Git version control and a DevSecOps Platform such as GitLab.\n\nExperience working with Docker or other containerization technologies.\n\nMust be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain/maintain a DoW security clearance.\n\nMust be able to travel up to 15% of the time.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nStrong understanding of the C# language.\n\nFamiliarity with frontend frameworks and languages such as React, Typescript, and Javascript.\n\nExperience with API documentation and tooling such as OpenAPI/Swagger.\n\nFamiliarity with developing reusable NPM packages or component libraries.\n\nExperience integrating frontend solutions with backend APIs, TypeScript, and JavaScript.\n\nKnowledge of Agile development methodologies, DevSecOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.\n\nEqual Opportunity: Avion Solutions, Inc. reaffirms its belief in equal employment opportunity for all employees and applicants.
