S/he will be responsible for the following:\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nGreet guests and patrons personally as they enter the establishment\nAnswer telephones using appropriate etiquette\nAccept to-go orders over the telephone\nReceive and record dining reservations on the telephone\nEnsure the proper setup of dining room\nEnsure dining room seating is controlled and that there is server parity in number of tables\nEnsure neatness and cleanliness of stations.\nPresent menus, make recommendations and take orders if necessary\nAssist other food and beverage staff when necessary\nLiaise between staff and customers to ensure great service\nEnsure personal appearance is neat and professional\nAnticipate and address guests’ service needs\nAssist individuals with disabilities\nThank guests with genuine appreciation\nComply with quality assurance expectations and standards\nFollow all company safety and security policies and procedures\nPREREQUISITES:\nPrior food and beverage industry experience preferred\nPrior guest relations training\nAbility to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nPositive, upbeat attitude and personality\nAbility to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision\nPunctuality and reliable attendance\nInterpersonal skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public\nPhysical Demands:\nEndure various physical movements throughout the work areas, such as reaching, extending arms over head, bending and stooping.\nAbility to lift, bend, stoop, push or pull. Requires carrying trays of food and bus trays of dishes up to 25 lbs.\nAbility to push or pull a vacuum or wheeled cart weighing up to 25 lbs.\nSecondary Responsibilities:\nBus tables and assist with processing dirty dishes if necessary\nClean all front of the house areas including windows, light fixtures and entrance as assigned\nFill water bottles, cut fruit, roll silverware, and complete other service-related tasks as assigned duties:\n- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the establishment\n- Escort guests to their assigned tables or waiting areas\n- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials\n- Take and manage reservations via phone or in-person\n- Manage the waitlist and ensure timely seating of guests\n- Maintain a clean and organized host/host station\n- Answer phone calls and provide information to callers\n- Assist with guest inquiries and provide excellent customer service\n- Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations\n- Handle guest complaints or concerns in a professional manner\nQualifications:\n- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred\n- Familiarity with POS systems, such as Aloha POS, is a plus\n- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills\n- Strong guest service and guest relations skills\n- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment\n- Friendly and outgoing personality with a positive attitude\n- Ability to handle difficult situations with tact and professionalism\n- Must be able to stand for long periods of time\nPlease note that this position may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays.\nIf you enjoy providing exceptional service to guests and have a passion for the hospitality industry, we would love to hear from you!
