Mobile Auto Glass Technician

Overview: Fleet Glass Services specializes in glass replacement, repair, and installations for fleet operations and the heavy equipment market. We are seeking a skilled technician to join our growing mobile installation team. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive glass replacement or possess a strong mechanical background working in the automotive or similar industry. The position requires driving long distances, working with power and hand tools, heavy lifting, and close attention to detail. Responsibilities: · Installation and Repair of Auto Glass: Install and repair windshields, side windows, rear windows, and other glass components in various vehicles. · Assess Damage: Inspect vehicles to assess the extent of damage and determine whether glass can be repaired or needs to be replaced. · Use of Tools and Equipment: Operate specialized tools and equipment such as glass-cutting tools, adhesives, and sealants to perform glass installation and repairs. · Safety Procedures: Follow all safety protocols to ensure proper handling of glass and other materials, as well as to ensure the safety of oneself and others during the installation and repair processes. · Quality Control: Ensure that all work meets or exceeds industry standards and customer expectations, including checking for leaks, cracks, and proper fit of installed glass. · Customer Service: Interact with customers to explain the work that needs to be done, provide cost estimates, and answer any questions they may have. · Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including materials used, time spent, and any additional services provided. · Mobile Services: Provide on-site repair and installation services at customer locations as required. · Training and Development: Stay updated on the latest techniques, tools, and materials in the auto glass industry through continuous training and professional development. · Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of glass and related materials, and place orders for supplies as needed. · Adherence to Regulations: Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding auto glass installation and repair, including environmental and safety standards.
