ABOUT CHIEF’S
Chief’s is a six-story bar, restaurant, and live music venue designed to celebrate Eric Church’s ever-expanding musical legacy. Located in historic downtown Nashville, Chief’s features a ticketed music venue, inspirational interiors, and a thoughtful focus on unique live performances, offering fans an unparalleled entertainment experience in Music City. ABOUT THE ROLE
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
Prepare event room, set/display food and beverages on buffet tables as stated in banquet order or supervisor's instructions.
Deliver drinks and passed appetizers, maneuvering trays through large crowds
Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries, ensuring a high level of customer service.
Bus (remove, replace and clear) during and after service, as assist with clearing banquet rooms at the end of events and help reset or refresh the space for the next function as needed.
Ensure the safety of the establishment and its patrons by following sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
Return all equipment to its designated storage area, ensuring cleanliness and organization are maintained.
Communicate with supervisors, kitchen, and other team members to ensure seamless execution of events
Maintain a clean and organized workspace including side stations, floors, shelves, and all storage areas
Ensure that work areas are properly stocked for effective and timely service
Ensure all spaces are set according to floor plans
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience as a banquet server, or in a similar role
Experience in catering or event service is a plus.
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests in a professional and courteous manner.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and work ethic
Excellent verbal communication skills to interact with guests, kitchen staff, and event managers.
Ability to take direction, and communicate effectively and professionally
Prior experience as a banquet server (preferred)
Able to meet uniform requirements (black button down shirt, black pants, black shoes)
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
Ability to get Food Safety and TIPS certified
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to perform physical requirements of position including standing for extended periods of time, kneeling, stooping, using stairs, able to lift loads of up to 50 lbs.
· Able to work rapidly, especially during peak periods to ensure that all guests are being serviced properly and necessary operational tasks are being completed in a timely manner
· Ability to sustain loud noise volume
