You will collaborate closely with senior engineers across Electrical, Mechanical, and Software disciplines to create, test, and validate innovative electrical designs—particularly in the areas of analog and power electronics.\nHow you will do it\nContribute to the design, development, and testing of electrical equipment, components, and systems.\nApply mathematical, engineering, and analytical principles to electrical system architecture and design.\nPerform circuit simulations and support the development of new solutions under the guidance of senior engineers.\nDocument electrical designs using schematic capture tools and maintain clear, accurate engineering records.\nExecute and document stress tests, performance evaluations, and functional testing of new designs.\nDevelop engineering documentation to support manufacturing, quality, and service processes.\nParticipate in design reviews, technical discussions, and cross‑functional brainstorming sessions.\nCollaborate with Mechanical and Software engineering teams to help define overall product architecture and design platforms.\nWhat we look for\nRequired Skills & Experience\nStrong background in analog and power electronics design and development.\nDemonstrated ability to translate requirements into complete hardware designs and verify them through test and integration.\nHands-on experience with the full PCB design lifecycle (schematic capture, layout, fabrication, test).\nSolid understanding of series and parallel resonant circuits.\nAbility to calculate current, voltage, power, and energy dissipation for resistive, inductive, and capacitive circuits, as well as for semiconductor devices.\nExperience performing thermal analysis for power electronic devices and systems.\nKnowledge of transistor operation in both switching and linear modes.\nExperience designing switch‑mode power supplies (SMPS), rectifiers, transformers, and magnetic components.\nFamiliarity with LC filter design and implementation.\nExperience working with EMC considerations in hardware design.\nBasic understanding of digital electronics and embedded systems.\nProficiency with laboratory test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and spectrum analyzers.\nStrong communication, documentation, and presentation skills.\nAbility to collaborate effectively on cross‑functional engineering teams.\nBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent.\nPreferred Qualifications\n10+ years of relevant engineering experience.\nFamiliarity with basic embedded programming.\nStrong desire to continuously learn and expand technical skillsets.\nWho we are\nJohnson Controls is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, protected veteran status, status as a qualified individual with a disability, or any other characteristic protected by law.
