Quality Inspector - Entry Level

Positions: Quality Inspector - Entry Level Location: Mountain View, CA. Job Type: Fulltime/ On-Project Site Position Overview: Medical device company in Mountain View seeking an entry-level Quality Inspector to support quality inspection activities for medical device components and surgical instruments. This role is quality-focused and ideal for candidates interested in building a career in Quality Assurance within the medical device industry. The Quality Inspector plays a key role in ensuring products meet engineering and quality requirements before release to manufacturing or customers. Training will be provided. Key Responsibilities: Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of medical device components and surgical instruments. Interpret and inspect to CAD drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications. Perform visual and dimensional inspections using hand measurement tools such as calliper’s, micrometres, pin gages, and height gages. Verify parts meet defined acceptance criteria and quality requirements. Accurately document inspection results, measurements, and acceptance status in paper or electronic quality records. Scan and file documents to retain digital copies of LHRs. Identify, segregate, and clearly document nonconforming material. Communicate inspection results and quality issues to Manufacturing and Quality Engineering. Support first article inspections and quality review activities. Maintain proper handling, labelling, and traceability of inspected materials. Maintain a clean, organized inspection area and follow all quality and safety procedures. Other duties as required. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (required) 2-3 years of experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, or a related role. Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings, blueprints, and basic tolerances. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures. Strong computer skills for documentation and data entry. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: Experience inspecting medical device components, implants, or surgical instruments Familiarity with GD&T concepts Experience using basic inspection and measurement equipment Familiarity with ISO 13485 and 21CFR 820 Standards Physical Requirements & Work Environment: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, handle small or precision components. Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour Work Location: In person
