The firm handles a diverse range of litigation matters and is looking for an attorney with strong litigation instincts, courtroom exposure, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Practice Focus• Criminal Defense Litigation• Misdemeanor & Felony Matters• Hearings, Motions & Trial Preparation• Client Counseling & Case Strategy• Legal Research & Motion Practice• Negotiations with Prosecutors & Opposing CounselResponsibilities• Handle criminal litigation matters from inception through resolution• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda• Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategy• Communicate directly with clients regarding case updates and legal guidance• Collaborate closely with attorneys and litigation staff on active matters• Manage caseload effectively while meeting billable expectationsQualifications• J.D. from an accredited law school• Licensed and in good standing with the Louisiana Bar (or ability to waive in)• 3–5 years of litigation experience preferred• Criminal defense experience strongly preferred• Some courtroom or trial exposure required• Strong writing, advocacy, and case management skills• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced litigation environment• Stable work history preferredSalary and Other Compensation:The annual salary for this position is between $100,000 – $150,000.
