This role provides direct supervision for quality inspectors. This role will assist the Director of Quality in maintaining quality procedures.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:\nProvide leadership and technical oversight for Quality Inspectors.\nEstablish daily work priorities which align with company production plans.\nProvide technical support to the Quality team members to ensure product manufactured meet customer requirements.\nPerform diversified granite plate or bench inspections on a variety of standard or custom aerospace parts, products, assemblies, or raw materials that are being used in manufacturing product.\nUses a variety of precision measuring instruments, including electronic devices.\nRead and interpret aerospace drawings, specifications and customer documents\nInspect product to verify correct color, finish, dimensions, hardness, density or other measurable or observable characteristics of material.\nPerform detailed first article inspections following the installation of full assembly.\nMay recommend, write or modify sampling and inspections procedures.\nMay use statistical tools to chart variance.\nSupport cross-functional teams in the execution and reporting of quality improvement projects with a focus on overall process improvements, scrap reduction and supplier quality improvement.\nDevelop training modules for Quality Inspectors to provide a roadmap of skills for employee development.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\nHigh School diploma or GED required.\n7 -10+ years of aerospace manufacturing experience in a quality discipline, preferably wire harness or electronical mechanical.\n5+ years of supervisory/management experience in manufacturing.\nStrong ability to interpret aerospace blueprints and schematics.\nAble to read and comprehend work documentation in the English language.\nProficient PC skills (Microsoft Office Suite applications).\nKNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES AND OTHER CONTRIBUTIONS:\nFamiliar with first Piece inspection and GD&T\nSelf-motivated individual that needs minimal supervision to be successful\nKnowledge of AS9100 Audit Process\nAbility to operate a CMM and employ mechanical inspection/surface plate\nRequires strong attention to detail, organizational, time management and follow-up skills.\nTeam-player who can handle working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.\nQuality oriented with a hands-on, “do it right the first” time personality.\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities\nThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
