This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic settings, enjoys project-based work, and excels at improving or stabilizing cash application and AR processes. Between engagements, you will continue to receive a paycheck while further developing your technical and professional skill set.ResponsibilitiesHigh-volume cash application and posting of payments (ACH, wire, lockbox, credit card)Reconciling cash receipts to the general ledger and bank statementsInvestigating and resolving unapplied cash, short pays, deductions, and discrepanciesSupporting daily cash posting accuracy and timeliness to improve cash flow visibilityReviewing and applying payments while ensuring proper remittance matchingManaging and resolving chargebacks, credit memos, and customer account adjustmentsPreparing and analyzing AR aging reports to identify application issuesCollaborating with collections, billing, and customer service to resolve payment discrepanciesAssisting with month-end close, including AR reconciliations and journal entriesSupporting bank deposit preparation and cash clearing activitiesPerforming ad hoc reporting and process improvements related to cash application workflows Qualifications2+ years of experience in cash application, AR reconciliations, and/or month-end close supportStrong experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)Ability to work both onsite and remotely depending on client needsProven ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environments with minimal supervisionStrong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and timeliness in cash postingRequired SkillsHighly adaptable and comfortable in ever-changing client environmentsQuick learner with the ability to ramp up on new systems and processes efficientlyStrong communicator—able to clearly explain discrepancies and partner cross-functionallyDetail-oriented with strong problem-solving and investigative skillsAbility to build rapport with internal teams and client stakeholdersPay range and compensation packageCompensation details are not specified in the provided job description.Equal Opportunity StatementRobert Half is committed to diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
