The job description requirements state they require the candidate to have knowledge of stakeholders within the state, of course they wouldn''t necessarily know that information but someone with a strong background in healthcare workforce development, preferable within State/Gov is what they need. Knowledge, Skills, and Capacity:Must have a thorough understanding of the key stakeholders in healthcare workforce and health systemplanning, including state agencies, healthcare providers, higher education, training providers,professional associations, trade associations, community-based organizations, labor organizations,insurers, funders, advocates and others across systems of care and populations served.Must have significant knowledge of the principles and practices of health workforce development,including policy and planning, program administration, research, data analytics, and stakeholderengagement.Must have significant knowledge of the factors that limit access to health services and adversely impacthealth outcomes of rural Rhode IslanderMust have a general understanding of public health, including healthcare finance, and healthcaredelivery, and public health objectives.Must have excellent writing, public speaking, presentation, facilitation, research, and interpersonalSkills.Education and ExperienceEducation: Such as may have been gained through: Possession of a Master’s degree from a college ofrecognized standing with specialization in a relevant field of Health Policy, Public Policy, HumanResources, Education, a licensed health profession, or a closely related field; andExperience: Such as may have been gained through considerable employment in a professional positionwith responsibilities related to workforce development, health policy, public health, publicAdministration, Education, Program Administration, Or Other Relevant Experience.Or, any combination of education and experience that shall be substantially equivalent to the aboveeducation and experience
