You will collaborate with data scientists, data visualization analysts, and user experience designers for large-scale national and federal initiatives, leveraging your expertise in web development, data visualization, and data-driven storytelling.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nDevelop intuitive visualizations, dashboards, and BI extensions using three.js, D3, Neo4j or other visualization libraries\r\nBuild CI/CD pipelines using client specifications for security and containerized deployments in client environments\r\nManage UI buildout in conjunction with project management stakeholders using an agile-based project management approach\r\nWork with data engineers to outline specifications for APIs\r\nDebug, test, and conduct code reviews with other developers\r\nRapid prototyping to validate ideas and designs from designers\r\nEmploy visual analytics best practices, development processes\r\nCollaborate with the front-end development team to ensure seamless integration of visualizations into web applications\r\nRequired Qualifications\r\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Journalism, or a related field.\r\n3+ years of experience in front-end web app development.\r\nGood understanding of web, web performance, chrome tools, http, REST and JSON.\r\nDeep understanding of WebGL and Canvas.\r\nExperience working in an agile environment.\r\nPassion for digital innovation and digital transformation.\r\nJob Requirements\r\nAbility to commute to the DC Metro area.\r\nA quiet and stable environment to make and receive calls and other communications when working remotely.\r\nU.S. Citizenship and authorized to work in the United States.\r\nAbility to hold a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.\r\nAbility to travel by car, train, or plane; anticipated less than 5% annually.\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nMaster's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Journalism, or a related field.\r\nStrong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\r\nExperience with Require.js.\r\nInterest or experience with graph visualization.\r\nAgile Product Owner Certification or Agile Scrum Master Certification.\r\nKnowledge of Health IT, Defense, or Energy sector domains.\r\nBenefits and Perks\r\n401(k)\r\nMedical & Dental Insurance\r\nShort-term Disability\r\nTuition Assistance\r\nReferral Program\r\nPaid Time-Off\r\nEMI is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
