The EHS Coordinator is a hands‑on role responsible for maintaining Cal/OSHA compliance, supporting facility safety programs, and partnering with employees to promote a safe working environment.\n\nEHS Coordinator Responsibilities\n\nSupport the Site Sr. EHS Engineer in implementing and maintaining site EHS programs.\n\nEnsure compliance with Cal/OSHA , California workplace safety regulations, and applicable environmental requirements.\n\nImplement and maintain Cal/OSHA‑required programs, including:\n\nInjury & Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)\n\nHazard Communication\n\nLockout/Tagout (LOTO)\n\nMachine Guarding\n\nPPE Assessments\n\nHeat Illness Prevention\n\nEmergency Action Plans\n\nFire Prevention\n\nPowered Industrial Truck Safety\n\nFall Protection\n\nConfined Space\n\nElectrical Safety\n\nErgonomics\n\nHearing Conservation\n\nRespiratory Protection\n\nContractor Safety\n\nConduct routine facility inspections, identify hazards, and track corrective actions through completion.\n\nSupport maintenance activities, equipment moves, contractor work, chemical handling, and other non‑routine operations.\n\nAssist with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), risk assessments, PPE assessments, safe work procedures, and safety documentation.\n\nSupport onboarding and EHS orientation for new employees.\n\nDevelop, update, and deliver EHS and safety training.\n\nInvestigate incidents, injuries, spills, and near misses, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.\n\nServe as a program focal point for safety and environmental issues.\n\nProvide EHS input for equipment, facility, and operational design changes.\n\nSupport hazardous waste, universal waste, recycling, SDS management, chemical inventory, spill response readiness, emergency response planning, Management of Change (MOC), operational readiness reviews, and periodic safety audits.\n\nEHS Coordinator Qualifications\nRequired\n\n5–6 years of hands‑on Environmental, Health & Safety experience.\n\nDirect, hands‑on experience implementing and maintaining Cal/OSHA programs at a California facility is required.
