This position has significant latitude for independent action and decision.Position DutiesEssential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:Conduct root cause and corrective action on parts and processes that are not in control.\r\nEvaluate new and existing processes to ensure the quality and safety of the job.\r\nCreate and maintain detailed manufacturing and process instructions for complex parts and processes.\r\nEstablish time standards and identify new equipment, tool designs, and processes to improve consistency, accuracy, and cycle times.\r\nDesign tooling, fixtures, and jigs to improve manufacturing and contribute to capital equipment purchases.\r\nParticipate in concurrent engineering to ensure new and legacy designs are manufacturable.\r\nCollaborate with development engineering to successfully transition new products to production.\r\nDrive and support Lean Manufacturing techniques in the shop including value stream mapping, cellular manufacturing, set-up time reduction, and overall waste reduction.\r\nIdentify and spearhead continuous improvement projects to eliminate waste, reduce cycle time and lower production costs.\r\nOther duties as assigned\r\nQualificationsEducation & Experience:Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Electrical, or other related Engineering field.\r\n3 + years of industry experience\r\nExperience working on automating processes/systems and implementing lean manufacturing.\r\nAbility to work closely with design, quality engineering, and production teams.\r\nExperience with electronic assembly and troubleshooting is highly desirable.\r\nPhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and telephone\r\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work\r\nLight to moderate lifting is required\r\nRegular, predictable attendance is required\r\nMust be able to work on Saturdays as needed to meet production goals\r\nCompensation Pay Range: $101,000 - $120,000Must be authorized to work in the U.S.International Trade Compliance Requirements :This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
