Senior Scrum Master

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Senior Scrum Master position! This is a 6+ month contract opportunity and will be on-site in Buffalo, NY (4 days per week). This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C.Position Overview:This is a hands-on doer role that will be leading two cross-functional agile teams through effective application of Agile principles and frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile (SAFe). This role focuses on driving high performance, continuous improvement, and delivery predictability within a high-visibility, business-critical program. This isn't a coach, but someone who can effectively drive agile teams and be accountable to delivering real business value.What You'll Be Doing:Partner with stakeholders including Enterprise Architects, leadership, and development teams to align on program goalsDrive accountability within the team to ensure sprint commitments are met and delivery remains predictableLeverage Jira data and reporting to provide clear, fact-based delivery insightsFacilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectivesProactively manage cross-team dependencies, risks, and delivery timelinesEnsure visibility into team progress through effective use of information radiators and reporting toolsIdentify and remove impediments, escalating issues when necessary to keep the team focused on delivery goalsWhat You’ll Need to Have:Strong Leadership & Stakeholder InfluenceProactively manage cross-team and cross-ART dependenciesExpert-level Agile knowledge, Jira, and JQL experienceExpert-level experience with Jira Cloud including dashboards, reporting, workflow/board configuration, and advanced JQLProven ability to use data to drive delivery insights and decision-makingDeep understanding of Agile, Scrum, and SAFe principlesStrong execution discipline with the ability to manage risks, dependencies, and impedimentsAbility to influence stakeholders, challenge assumptions, and escalate when necessaryHands-on Scrum Master experience in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentExperience working on complex, high-visibility programs with multiple dependenciesStrong verbal and written communication skillsPay Range: $75 - $80/hrQuestions about any of our jobs?
