We are looking for people with an entrepreneurial spirit and a constant eye for continuous improvement in all aspects of their job.\n\nProduction Supervisor, OEM Division\nThe Production Supervisor, OEM Division, is responsible for coordinating daily production activities within the cable and wire manufacturing area to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality operations. This role leads and supports production team members, monitors workflow, enforces safety and quality standards, and ensures production targets are met according to schedule.\n\nEssential Job Functions\n\nLead production activities for cable and wire manufacturing lines (extrusion, stranding, braiding, jacketing, testing, etc.).\n\nAssign work, prioritize tasks, and balance labor to meet production schedules.\n\nMonitor production output, efficiency, scrap, and downtime; take corrective action as needed.\n\nSet up and change over equipment according to production requirements and specifications.\n\nEnsure materials, tools, and documentation are available prior to production start.\n\nLeadership & Team Support\n\nProvide hands‑on leadership and direction to operators and technicians.\n\nTrain, coach, and mentor team members on equipment operation, quality standards, and safety procedures.\n\nServe as the first point of contact for production issues, escalating when appropriate.\n\nPromote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.\n\nIdentify, collaborate, and integrate processes with other departments to drive overall success.\n\nQuality & Compliance\n\nEnsure all products meet customer specifications, drawings, and quality standards.\n\nPerform and document in‑process inspections and quality checks.\n\nEnforce adherence to ISO, IPC, OSHA, and internal quality and safety requirements.\n\nAssist with root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality or production issues.\n\nSafety & Housekeeping\n\nEnforce all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.\n\nLead by example to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment (5S).\n\nReport and help investigate safety incidents, near misses, and hazards.\n\nDocumentation & Reporting\n\nComplete production reports, shift logs, and downtime records accurately and on time.\n\nCommunicate shift handovers clearly, including issues, priorities, and status updates.\n\nAssist with tracking KPIs such as productivity, scrap, and on‑time delivery.\n\nContinuous Improvement\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, quality, and safety.\n\nParticipate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nSupport new product launches, trials, and process validations.\n\nRequirements\nEducation and Experience\n\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, or a related technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\n5+ years in operations/production management or supervision.\n\nA solid understanding of manufacturing a product with specifications and quality controls.\n\nAbility to read and interpret work instructions, drawings, and specifications.\n\nBasic computer skills (ERP systems, MS Office, data entry, email).\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience with extrusion, wire drawing, stranding, or cable assembly processes.\n\n3+ years’ experience in the wire and cable industry.\n\nKnowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.\n\nWork Environment\n\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs. throughout the shift to observe and assist operators.\n\nExposure to manufacturing environment including noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.\n\nWork Schedule\nThe facility operates 24/7 using a 2‑2‑3 shift/work day model – 36 hours one week, 48 hours next week – off every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Work 14 days a month. Qualified candidates must be able to work a flexible/rotating schedule, including weekends, and cover overtime as needed.
