POSITION SUMMARY The Middle School English Language Arts Teacher creates a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional growth of adolescent learners. This position is responsible for planning and delivering high-quality English Language Arts instruction aligned with district curriculum and state standards while fostering critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration, and a lifelong appreciation for reading and writing. The Middle School ELA Teacher utilizes data-informed instructional practices to support diverse learners in the development of reading, writing, speaking, listening, vocabulary, and language skills. The teacher builds strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues to support student achievement and promote a positive middle school experience. QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will possess:Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate (BA Endorsement, Grades 6-12)Middle School teaching experience preferredDemonstrated ability to provide engaging, student-centered instruction that supports diverse learnersStrong knowledge of adolescent literacy development, reading comprehension strategies, writing instruction, grammar, vocabulary, and
