The Engineering Program Manager is the overall technical leader of assigned projects that is accountable and responsible for accurately delivering the technical solution of water and wastewater projects of varying complexity in accordance with customer requirements and Inframark standards. The Engineering Program Manager is the primary Inframark technical face to the internal project team and customer responsible for the viability and accuracy of the solution being provided. The Engineering Program Manager will work closely with the project manager while leading other project delivery and support resources as required to accomplish the scope on time and within budget. The Engineering Program Manager will fulfill the role of project technical lead for all assigned projects.\n\nMEASURES OF SUCCESS\n\nUnderstand fully the technical requirements and deliverables of assigned projects that aligns with Inframark’s scope of work and to ensure all technical resources assigned to the projects are all working in cadence to those requirements.\n\nLead, manage and accurately execute project activities and deliverables of assigned projects to contracted scope to maximize customer experience and successful project execution.\nTechnical Quality Assurance: Ensure all technical deliverables meet Inframark's quality standards and comply with industry regulations and codes.\n\nCustomer Feedback and Satisfaction: Achieve positive customer feedback post-delivery, measuring satisfaction with technical solutions, support, and collaboration.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nSupport project managers with project reviews as required with organizational leadership to communicate project health, risks, challenges, and opportunities.\n\nProvide support or guidance to project managers when developing project and resource schedules.\n\nEngage the customer when necessary to obtain, clarify, resolve or dispute any technical issues or needs.\n\nResolve questions, make technical decisions, review / approve documentation, etc. to ensure in line with scope of the project.\n\nLead conversations with customers to ensure the solution provided meets or exceeds the requirements while looking for opportunities to expand scope that embraces new solution offerings from Inframark.\n\nThe accountable and responsible person for the accurate, quality, and timely execution of the technical solution of assigned projects.\n\nMonitor and manage project risks in collaboration with the project manager through proper risk management planning.\n\nBe an effective project leader through collaboration and communication with operational resources assigned to the projects.\n\nAssist in the coordination of all project startup activities with the Contractor and project team, which includes scheduling, troubleshooting, and meeting commitments.\n\nEvaluates project technical issues and finds solutions that are acceptable to all and are also in the best interests of the company.\n\nAdherence to defined organization work processes and tools.\n\nCollaborate with field service organization on project support requirements for FAT, start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, etc.\nWork with project manager and customer to receive project approval via acceptable means and approved process (i.e., P.O., contract, etc.)\n\nSupport the project manager as necessary in all internal and customer-facing meetings with detailed post-meeting notes and actively manage follow-ups. All documentation will be held in the designated document repository.\n\nLead QA/QC activities during key project phases and provide oversight during testing procedures (FAT, SAT) to ensure requirements are met before customer handoff.\n\nSupport the Sales and Estimating department as needed, including sales visits support, data gathering site visits, and estimating.\n\nVendor and Subcontractor Liaison: Serve as the technical liaison for vendor and subcontractor communications, including reviewing technical specs, confirming compliance, and monitoring deliverables.\n\nORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS\n\nThe Engineering Program Manager reports to the VP of Operations\n\nThe Engineering Program Manager works directly with the Project Managers, Project Execution resources, Field Managers and Technicians, and RVPs to ensure alignment across all disciplines.\n\nThe Engineering Program Manager oversees the deliverables performed by the project technical team.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nA four-year engineering or electrical degree is required. Plus, a minimum of 10+ years’ experience in the automation industry and field service functions, with 5 years of experience specifically in the municipal Water & Wastewater industry. A proven track record of leadership and progressive project management responsibility is required. Excellent communications skills and the ability to build and constructively lead teams are essential.\n\nExperience with sales and project estimation, knowledge and understanding of the National Electric Code is also required. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, contract documents and P&ID drawings is required.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe ability to communicate orally with management and other co-workers is crucial. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods in front of a computer monitor is common. Hearing within normal ranges is necessary for communication with Field Service, other departments, and customers. Adequate vision is needed for using a computer monitor and document review.\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nThe job is performed both indoors and outdoors at Inframark A&I office locations and at remote jobsites. Activities include extended periods of sitting and regular work at a computer monitor.
