Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Blender Marine Scheduler through 07/03/2026 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time Zone.
The Blender Marine Scheduler is responsible for transport, storage, and blending for respective commodities across Upstream, Midstream and Downstream. Tasks include transportation nominations, system balancing and optimization, blending, documentation, credit, risk and inventory management.
Operations Schedulers are responsible for optimizing flow by coordinating pipeline, marine and or terminal logistics for commodity movement. You will work closely with trading teams and third-party customers to approve nominations for movement, produce shipping schedules and manage inventory. On-call availability for evening, weekends, and holidays if scheduling emergencies will be required.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Lead day-to-day scheduling and operations for trading teams, including activities such as blending, quality control, loss prevention and forecasting analysis
Manage nominations for Pipeline and/or marine orders to/from both 3rd party and internal customers; monitor and execute commodity movement.
Partner with traders to manage physical inventory positions and recommend trade activity based on interactions with third parties
Monitor terminal operations to optimize schedules
Engage with internal and external industry experts and maintain strong relationships and lines of communication
Collaborate on and communicate operational costs, optimization initiatives and best practice learnings
Maintains blending schedules. Performs blending analysis using blending software.
Identifies opportunities to increase blended product quality specifications and value and alerts and coordinates potential alternate actions.
Assists commercial groups in evaluating the economics and viability of potential business opportunities by presenting alternative valuation viewpoints and incorporating logistical/operational factors and/or market blending intelligence.
Required Qualifications:
Experience in energy, manufacturing, transportation, supply chain and/or finance
Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on Operational Excellence and delivering results
Demonstrated organizing and planning skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze data to draw valid conclusions, identify root causes and solve problems
Demonstrated strong communication skills, ability to communicate at various levels within the organization
Demonstrated influencing skills, the ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a diverse team
Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook. A background in SAP or Right-Angle would-be a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
Fuel oil/bunker operations scheduling experience in a trading environment.
Marine scheduling experience
Bachelor’s degree
