Innovation and commitment have enabled KDM to provide excellence in both technologies and service qualities.\nKey Responsibilities and Accountabilities\nIn this role, you will be responsible for the accurate transcription of E&P data from various media types to digital storage, as well as the outputting of digital data to other media types. The Computer Operator requires a basic knowledge of subsurface data and media formats along with the ability to understand and comply with the individual requirements of each client and project.\nKey Responsibilities:\nEnsure daily goals, as set by supervisor and team lead, are met.\nDistinguish between various data formats and media types in order to format/convert subsurface data.\nTranscribe data using various media, drives and software.\nQC subsurface data against media labels and indexed information.\nInitiate communication with computer operator, team lead to report and solve problems related to data or jobs.\nProvide client services support by outputting data to specified media in specified format and labeling media according to job requirements.\nUpdate the Work Management Tool with comments and billing information for each job.\nUse tape cleaning devices to clean tapes (9-tracks) prior to reading.\nReport hardware or tape issues to group via rt ticket system email.\nSkills Required:\nSafety first mentality.\nOral and written communication proficiency.\nBasic understanding of subsurface media types and formats.\nInteracts with people effectively. Able and willing to share and receive information. Co-operates within the group and across groups with a strong emphasis on teamwork.\nAttention to detail, accuracy, and completeness.
