IT Director

Salary is 170k to 250k4 days onsite and 1 day remoteWe are seeking an experienced IT Director to lead the strategy, delivery, and ongoing evolution of our technology environment. This role requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, hands-on technical leadership, and a practical approach to modernizing systems and improving the overall technology landscape.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute IT strategy aligned with business goals and growth prioritiesProvide strategic direction while ensuring technology decisions are practical, scalable, and cost-effectiveLead modernization initiatives including system upgrades, and process improvementThis is a hands-on role and requires active involvement in architecture, solution design, and key technical decisions. The IT Director will serve as the primary technical authority within the organization and will partner closely with the managed service provider (MSP) to ensure effective execution, alignment with business needs, and reliable day-to-day operations.Oversee IT operations including infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and support services delivered through the MSPEvaluate and upgrade existing systems and tools to improve performance, reliability, and securityLead, mentor, and develop internal stakeholders and coordinate closely with external IT partnersManage IT budget, vendor relationships, and technology partnershipsEstablish and maintain IT governance, security, and compliance practices appropriate to the environmentPartner closely with leadership to translate business needs into effective technology solutionsDrive automation, efficiency, and continuous improvement across systems and processesOperate within a Microsoft-based environment, leveraging Microsoft technologies as the core of the enterprise ecosystemQualificationsIT leadership experience in smaller or mid-sized environmentsStrong ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on executionExperience working across infrastructure, applications, and enterprise systemsProven ability to operate as the primary technical owner in an organizationStrong experience in Microsoft environmentsStrong understanding of working with MSPs or outsourced IT service providersKnowledge of cybersecurity, system integration, and IT operationsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to operate in a fast-moving environmentExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills
