Acts a primary point of contact, responsible for program negotiation, management, budgetary responsibility and delivery of engineering program(s) or strategic business processes. May lead a matrix team to manage and execute one or more key weapon and/or product/services or reimbursable programs. May be assigned to lead strategic business development and/or execution efforts across the organization and at the Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE) level. Helps ensure that integrated project management processes are aligned with industry best practices and consistently applied across the business.\r\nDuties and Responsibilities Negotiates, evaluates, determines, and executes program project management activities to manage one or more significant, complex program or components.\r\nLeads, directs, influences, and exercises extensive technical knowledge and expertise to identify and mitigate program risks and to evaluate and resolve significant technical issues pertinent for key complex program(s) and supporting projects.\r\nExercises extensive knowledge of programs and business processes to negotiate and establish achievable cost and schedule parameters for key and complex weapons programs and/or reimbursable product/service programs and related program elements.\r\nLeads multiple aspects of financial planning, monitoring, reporting, scheduling, analysis, and preparation of technical/schedule information required for complex program/project planning.\r\nPerforms primary, first point of contact, technical, administrative, and logistical liaison role with company, Department of Energy, design agencies, laboratories, integrated contractors, and other government agencies for one or more key complex weapon(s), growth, and/or business process development/execution programs.\r\nLeads, as first point of program contact, the establishment of production/project definitions, maintenance of directive schedules, and engineering releases associated with key weapon.\r\nIntegrates customer needs with business competencies to drive growth in both existing and emerging markets. Participates in strategic planning.\r\nLeads teams and matrix reports to manage day-to-day program requirements.\r\nAssists the selection and development of programmatic resources.\r\nProvides general management, oversight, and execution of ongoing Program Excellence and Excellence in Project Management initiatives and continuous improvement across the business and execution within assigned complex program(s).\r\nProvides matrix management leadership for divisional project leads.
