Come join the team that is working quietly to keep the light of liberty shining.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nPerform detailed structural design and analysis on spacecraft components and the entire spacecraft system\n\nProvide technical memos and recommendations to support peer and customer reviews\n\nPresent design and analysis data to the spacecraft design/engineering team, customer technical representatives, and Program Office personnel at technical interchange meetings and formal design reviews\n\nProvide review, interpretation, flow-down, and implementation of program requirements\n\nProvide test support for component-level and system-level structural tests\n\nBasic Qualifications\n\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or related technical field) or equivalent experience/combined education\n\nComprehensive understanding of structural analysis methods and processes (e.g., load paths, mechanical joints, stress/strain, fatigue/fracture, buckling, classical hand calculations)\n\nExperience with finite element numerical solution tools (e.g., NX & NX Nastran, or equivalent)\n\nActive Top Secret or SCI Security Clearance prior to start\n\nDesired Skills\n\n3+ years of relevant professional experience in structural analysis of space structures\n\nExperience with engineering level computer programming (e.g., Matlab)\n\nExperience with test engineering, instrumentation, data collection, and/or test reports\n\nSelf‑motivated with an active interest to learn from and engage with a team\n\nExcellent written and verbal technical communication skills\n\nSecurity Clearance Statement\nThis position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.\n\nClearance Level\nTS/SCI with Poly\n\nWork Schedules\n9x80 every other Friday off\n\nBenefits\nMedical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.\n\nLockheed Martin is an equal opportunity employer.
