Sometimes with GraphQL, sometimes with ApigeeBig drive to stream ICS data out to Cassandra. APIs need intelligence to know where the data is available from and how to pull itTrying to reduce impact on the mainframe and increase cost savings.Team Size & Breakdown:There are many Scrum/Kanban teams within this org this resource will act as a consultant for those teamsHigh-Level Individual Duties:Consult with teams across the organization and provide guidance on the modernization of that teams APIsAccelerate progress on the organizations DevOps pipelineWill be responsible for building best practices, writing out documentation/POC, etc.Coordinate with offshore team, provide direction for the developersCould be between 50%-80% hands on development as well need people who are able to hop in and do dev work when neededMust-Haves (Concepts & Tools):5-10 years of development experience. Need to have some architecture knowledge as wellJava/Spring BootBasic understanding of CassandraBasic understanding of GraphQL and Apigee not a deal breakerNice-to-Haves (Concepts & Tools):Tibco on the edge of a must have, having and understanding would be extremely helpfulAzure they will move from on-prem to cloud eventuallyHiring Managers Note:This is potentially a Senior Architect, but we are also considering Senior Lead Engineers.Candidates will likely be placed on a Scrum team (or shared across 2 teams) to provide and review architectural designs, contribute to team success through a combination of hands-on development, oversight and consultation of other development efforts across teams, recommend and enforce standards, assist with automation (CICD enhancements), Test Automation, etc. This SME (Subject Matter expert) will be an escalation point for teams that are roadblocked or stuck with technical or architectural issues.The API Team/Organization:Our API team is experiencing exponential growth due to tremendous business demands and our ongoing need to modernize our core API Services.The teams support the Credit Card business at the bank. We are the middle layer, fielding requests from customer facing above the glass applications and connecting/retrieving/updating data on the back-end mainframe systems through zOS connect. We are also in the midst of streaming much of that back-end data to NOSQL Cassandra.
