Java-Kotlin Engineer

Immediate need for a talented Java-Kotlin Engineer. This is a 12+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Phoenix, AZ(Onsite). Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using Java and Kotlin.Build scalable backend services, REST APIs, and microservices architectures.Develop clean, reusable, and maintainable code following industry best practices.Collaborate with product managers, QA teams, DevOps, and architects to deliver new features.Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture planning.Integrate databases, third-party systems, and cloud services.Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.Key Requirements and Technology Experience: Key skills; Java, Spring boot, Kotlin5+ years of software development experience.Strong hands-on experience with Java and Kotlin.Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, or similar backend frameworks.Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, and Agile methodologies.Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Experience with Android development using Kotlin.Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.Experience with Kafka, messaging systems, or event-driven architecture.Exposure to security best practices and performance tuning.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.Our client is a leading IT Industry, and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
