Job Title: Network EngineerLocation: Dallas, TX (Onsite)Duration: Full TimeResponsibilitiesEngineer, implement, and support complex enterprise network solutions across campus, data center, WAN, wireless, and network security environments.Serve as a senior escalation point for complex routing, switching, firewall, wireless, and multi-system network issues.Support network modernization initiatives, including movement from legacy network designs toward more current enterprise networking models.Design and implement secure network configurations, including segmentation, firewall policies, access controls, and secure connectivity.Validate implementation plans and ensure network changes meet established technical and security standards.Participate in design reviews and provide technical input on architecture, standards, and implementation approaches.Mentor and guide Network Engineers and Network Analysts while supporting a growing and evolving team structure.Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and standards.Work within change management, ITSM, and operational governance processes.Required Qualifications8+ years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise network engineering, operations, or support.Strong hands-on experience with enterprise routing and switching in large-scale environments.Experience troubleshooting complex, multi-system network issues across routing, switching, wireless, WAN, and network security domains.Experience working with Juniper networking technologies in enterprise environments.Experience with enterprise firewall and network security technologies such as Palo Alto, Fortinet/FortiGate, or Juniper SRX.Experience supporting wireless networking environments such as Aruba and/or Juniper Mist.Experience with enterprise network services and platforms such as F5 load balancers and Infoblox.Working knowledge of network security concepts including segmentation, VPNs, firewall policy management, and secure access controls.Ability to operate independently as a senior technical escalation point and mentor junior team members.Experience working within change management, ITSM, or operational governance processes.Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.Must be local to the DFW area and available for occasional onsite work and site visits as needed.Preferred QualificationsExperience with EVPN, VXLAN, network automation, scripting, or infrastructure-as-code concepts.Experience modernizing legacy enterprise network environments.Experience working in higher education, public sector, healthcare, or large enterprise campus environments.Advanced networking certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, JNCIE, or equivalent are preferred but not required.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required.
