This position identifies and leads opportunities for continuous improvement using appropriate quality processes.\nEssential Functions\nDevelop and maintain the company’s system for effectively and efficiently documenting, storing, analyzing, and utilizing the company’s quality and safety processes, data, and metrics.\nDevelop and/or enhance current databases for customer complaints & corrective/preventative actions, internal & external rework, and quality metrics.\nRecord, analyze, and distribute statistical information\nSet up and maintain controls and documentation procedures\nAssist in revising and maintaining calibration files, RMA data, PPAPs, revision level changes, etc.\nEnsure that documentation needs for ISO certification are met\nCreate documents, presentations, signs, and other communication tools to inform, educate, and guide employees about safety and quality expectations, policies, standards, and processes.\nDevelop easy-to-comprehend, visually appealing materials\nHelp design training materials\nAs Needed, Assist Quality Manager\nUnderstand the 5S principles and helps educate and support 5S training throughout both facilities\nAssist in the development of company's quality procedures, standards and specifications\nDetermine training needs and assist in maintaining a database to capture\nParticipate in continuous improvement activities\nWork with operating staff to establish procedures, standards, systems\nInvestigate and set standards for quality/health and safety\nFunction as a catalyst for positive change and improvement in performance/quality\nReview customer requirements and ensure that they are met\nSet standards for quality as well as health and safety\nDefine quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff\nSuggest improvements for quality, safety and efficiency\n\nCompetencies\nLeadership Communication Proficiency Problem Solving/Analysis\nTechnical Capacity Customer Focus Collaborative\nSafety Focused Detailed Oriented Organizational Skills\n\nSupervisory Responsibility\nThis role has no supervisory responsibilities.\nWork Environment\nThis job operates in an office and manufacturing environment. The performance of this position requires exposure to a typical manufacturing area that requires the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, appropriate closed-toe shoes, and other PPE as needed. The noise level is moderate.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Quality Coordinator to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nWhile performing the duties of this position, the Quality Coordinator is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, and sitting. The Quality Coordinator is occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, or bend. The Quality Coordinator must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
