Hours are 10:00pm-6:00am Monday-Friday. Pay rate is $16.50/hour + $1.50 shift premium with weekly pay! The material handler follows established policies and procedures, ensure proper and timely flow of all materials and product from arrival until stored as finish goods. Also, providing flow of all in house material and product including rework, scrap machinery, equipment and garbage. This is primarily by driving a hi-lo or by using a hand jack.\r\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\r\nMaintain Central Loadroom Including correct use of material on all color and material changes\r\nUse Bill of Material located on Basic IV for all material changes\r\nLog all material type changes\r\nFollow FIFO procedure when replacing material in Central Loadroom and Components\r\nWeigh parts running without scales\r\nPut away finished product correctly\r\nPerform all Housekeeping duties in conformance to the Housekeeping Verification\r\nKeep presses stocked with totes and skids\r\nKeep returnable storage area stocked\r\nKeep front wall, front aisle and back aisle clear at all times\r\nRemove all stock, packaging, and assembly equipment from the press at the time of all mold changes\r\nKeep returnable lids picked up\r\nChange and recharge batteries when necessary\r\nScan and properly identify all assigned product\r\nAny other duties as assigned by Plant Supervision\r\nQualifications:\r\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Hi-lo experience\r\nAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees of the organization.\r\nAbility to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to recognize numbers and not transpose digits.\r\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.\r\nPhysical Requirements:\r\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to touch, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to drive a forklift truck or operate a pallet jack. The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus, demonstrate depth perception and have good hand eye coordination.\r\nWorking Conditions:\r\nTasks are usually performed indoors in a manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee must not wear any loose-fitting clothing that may get in the way of the moving machinery. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
