This is a 12-month, non-tenure track faculty appointment. This position offers the opportunity to strategically manage a $9M collections budget, advance research and affordable learning initiatives, and shape the future of academic collections. The successful candidate will work closely with library leadership, subject librarians, campus stakeholders, and consortia partners to deliver data-informed acquisitions strategies that support UCF’s teaching and research mission.\nResponsibilities Direct the selection and acquisition of physical and digital resources aligned with academic priorities.\nOptimize purchasing models (firm orders, approval plans, PDA/EBA) to maximize access and return on investment.\nManage budget processes and analytics within the library services platform and campus finance system.\nSupervise and mentor acquisitions team members, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.\nDesign and implement efficient workflows across enterprise and vendor solution systems.\nCollaborate on data-driven collection strategies, including selection and deselection.\nDeliver actionable insights through assessments that support planning, accreditation, and strategic initiatives.\nAbout the UCF Libraries The UCF Libraries enhance student success and faculty excellence through a dynamic network of libraries and information professionals. In addition to the online application, candidates must upload a cover letter and current curriculum vitae. The cover letter should address: (1) their interest in the position and (2) relevant qualifications.
