This position’s geographical location is negotiable depending upon the candidate. You must have broad capabilities. You will lead the electrical discipline of multiple concurrent projects through pursuit, proposal, design, and construction phases. You’ll serve as the engineer of record, collaborating with project teams, junior and senior engineers, project managers, and clients on a diverse range of projects, including the design of manufacturing facilities, lift stations, pump stations, treatment plants, fuel systems, electric vehicle charging stations, transportation infrastructure, environmental remediation systems, data centers, and commercial and retail buildings.\n\nRole accountabilities\n\nLead design teams to develop construction-ready drawing packages with inter-discipline coordination.\n\nDevelop strong industry relationships with other design professionals.\n\nTravel to project sites for engineering site surveys, data collection for power system studies, electrical system audits and collaboration with clients’ team members.\n\nKnowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety standards such as NFPA, NEC, NETA, ANSI, IEEE, UL, UFC, UBC as well as international standards such as IEC, CE, EN.\n\nFluency in design and modeling software (AutoCAD, Revit, Elum Tools, BIM360, SKM, Etap, EDSA, Easy Power).\n\nInter-discipline knowledge of facility systems.\n\nCompetent analytical and troubleshooting skills.\n\nExperience developing solutions to complex projects.\n\nPerform various system studies (arc flash, load, short circuit, coordination).\n\nSupport proposal efforts to win design work.\n\nWork with designers to develop sealed drawings of your designs.\n\nProvide mentoring to junior staff.\n\nQualifications & Experience\n\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent in an appropriate area of engineering.\n\nHold Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification and actively working towards Professional Engineer (PE) Certification.\n\nMay also be working towards advanced degree (M.Eng., MS, MBA, etc.).\n\n4 or more years’ relevant experience in engineering.\n\nDetailed knowledge of relevant national standards and codes of practice.\n\nOSHA training preferred (in some Business Lines this will be required).\n\nBenefits & Salary\nArcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP, 401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program and optional benefits including wellbeing benefits, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $105,000 - $150,000.
