We are looking for an experienced Sales Associate to work in the St. Petersburg, FL area to help us continue providing our customers with the best services possible.Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Sales Associate will be the main point of contact for all new customers and clients. The Sales Associate will support the sales team by obtaining new clients, educating them on our products, and providing our existing customers with exceptional support. A Sales Associate will frequently collaborate with the Maintenance and Modernizations departments, processing maintenance contracts and new bids for the Modernization Department.ResponsibilitiesDevelops and maintains relationships with potential and existing clients.Support the sales team to help secure new contracts.Responsible for maintaining and updating the customer database to ensure all data is accurate and current.Communicate with customers and supply data as requested.Liaison between departments to inform them when new contracts are activated or canceled.Work with the sales team providing necessary information from service calls to generate new leads.Periodically prepare and report results and status updates on accounts management.Process bids for Modernization Department and prepare the folder for their review.Complete proposal forms, reference letters, and additional information regarding submitted bids.Identify new clients through various methods, including networking and cold calls.Process new maintenance contracts.Ensure elevators are surveyed before providing maintenance contracts to the customer.Process cancellation of contracts when necessary.Collaborate with Accounting on canceled contracts to ensure all past-due payments are collected.Performs other duties as assigned.Work Contact GroupSignificant contact with new and existing customers.Significant contract with management and the purchasing department.QualificationsHigh school diploma required. Associate’s degree in business administration or a related field highly preferred.Sales experience in construction or industrial equipment services is a plus.Experience with elevator installations or servicing is a strong plus.The ability to build strong customer relationships at all levels.Must be organized, able to multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment.Motivation to gain knowledge in all safety issues and requirements to assist in upselling.Proficient in Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Excel, Outlook, and Word.Work Environment & HazardsThis job operates in a sedentary, general office environment and routinely requires standard office equipment.
