Light, medium, and heavy vehicles, maritime platforms, aircraft, and personnel protection systems each present their own protection challenges and different threats and operational requirements mean that protection level needs vary.\nEssential Functions: This role will be responsible for the following main tasks:\nMaintain quality standards, including following all instructions and tasks given by the supervisor and/or lead.\nOperates production machinery in accordance with training and work instructions. Assigned machines may include ovens, utility knives, bandsaw machine(s), heat gun, hot knife, drum actuator, ovens, computers, and/or similar equipment.\nInspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.\nWear company Personal protective equipment (PPE) to perform tasks in a safe manner.\nProduces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.\nDetect and report defective material and questionable conditions to your department Lead.\nAdhere to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety policies/procedures.\nMaintain work area and equipment in a neat and orderly condition.\nReport all occupational injuries or illnesses to the supervisor or lead immediately.\nReport any equipment/vehicle problems or concerns to the supervisor or lead immediately.\nRegular and dependable attendance.\nPerform other job duties as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications / Experience:\nDetail orientated.\nAbility to follow directions and work well in a team.\nThorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.\nUnderstanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.\nWilling to ask for assistance when needed.\nWilling to learn different tasks.\nBasic Math Skills\nWork Environment:\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is working in a controlled indoor environment.\nRegular exposure and working near moving mechanical parts including heating elements and cutting blades.\nRegular exposure to chemicals, both liquid and air borne.\nThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.\nFirst Shift Hours are 5:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Thursday.\nSecond Shift Hours are 3:30pm to 2:00am Monday to Thursday.\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
