JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Title: Data Engineer Python DeveloperLocation: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)Duration: 6+ MonthsPay Rate: $64.22/hr W2Role OverviewWe are supporting a Digital Transformation initiative across the Americas Division to modernize technology and build a strategic, data-driven platform.Seeking experienced Data Engineers (10+ years) to support the design and development of a strategic data platform for Capital Markets and Nikko Securities Group. The role will begin with building a reference data system for securities and pricing data, expanding into additional data domains over time.Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to the design and development of a strategic data platform on Azure CloudDevelop and enhance reference data systems (securities & pricing data)Build and maintain scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT)Develop APIs using Python (FastAPI or similar frameworks)Follow internal development standards and DevOps best practicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams across Capital Markets and broker-dealer/swap-dealer entitiesRequired Skills10+ years of experience as a Data Engineer / Full Stack Python DeveloperStrong experience with Azure Cloud services including:Azure Data FactoryAzure Data Lake Gen2Azure DatabasesAzure Data FabricAzure FunctionsAPI Gateway ManagementAzure DatabricksStrong SQL skills (RDBMS and/or NoSQL)Experience with CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, etc.)Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processesPreferred:Experience in financial services, financial instruments, asset classes, and market data
