Job Type Full-time Description Housekeeper Canaan, CT About the Position: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Mountainside Treatment Center, a residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation center committed to providing a safe, supportive, and healing environment for individuals on their recovery journey. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and comfortable facility that supports the well-being and dignity of our clients and staff. Schedule:Week 1 - Sunday OFF, Monday 7am-3:30pm, Tuesday 7am-3:30pm, Wednesday 7am-3:30pm, Thursday OFF, Friday 7am-3:30pm, Saturday 7am-3:30pm.Week 2 - Sunday 7am-3:30pm, Monday OFF, Tuesday 7am-3:30pm, Wednesday 7am-3:30pm, Thursday 7am-3:30pm, Friday 7am-3:30pm, Saturday OFF. Your Role:Follow all established policies and procedures of the Housekeeping DepartmentDust hallways, offices, client rooms, recreation areas, lounges, and other assigned spacesWash walls, windows, window frames, tiles, door frames, and other high-touch or elevated surfacesVacuum drapes, carpets, and area rugs throughout the facilityClean and disinfect bathrooms, ensuring replenishment of toiletries and other amenitiesSafely transport trash, waste, and recyclables to designated disposal areasMake beds and change client linens as needed, adhering to infection control protocolsMaintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping supply and storage closetsRealign furniture and room layouts in accordance with the facility's approved "look book" or room standard guideOperate various cleaning equipment (e.g., floor buffers, carpet shampooers) as requiredEnsure proper disposal of biohazard waste and sharps containers in compliance with safety regulationsDisinfect and sanitize frequently touched surfaces to maintain a hygienic environment for clients and staff Qualifications:Ability to read, write and to follow oral and written instructions RequiredAbility to work weekends, nights and holidays RequiredMust be capable of heavy lifting up to 50lbs, etc. Required1 year of Housekeeping experience Preferred Compensation:The base rate of pay for this position is $17.00 to $19.50 per hour.Certain shifts are eligible for a $2.00 per hour shift differential.Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
