Loan Operations Associate III (Code Review) (Hybrid/Richmond, VA)
This position requires an advanced understanding of loan products and in-depth loan industry experience, and the ability to handle complex maintenance and service activities. The Loan Operations Associate III supports our customers’ loan servicing needs and contributes to the development and improvement of all processes, as well as to the objectives of the team and business. The incumbent directly faces internal and external customers and prioritizes delivery of excellent experience, using strong communication and diplomacy skills, while simultaneously managing a variety of standard loan servicing activities.Position AccountabilitiesAbility to work effectively with minimal supervision and be a team playerResponds to inquiries relating to his or her particular area or to requests from customers and other Bank personnel within given time frames and within established policySupports other teammates within the teamUnderstanding assigned process and procedures as it relates to the job taskAdhere to all applicable laws and regulations governing bank operations, including compliance with the Bank’s BSA/AML Policy and ProceduresEnsure excellent service is provided to our internal partners and customersIdentifies and resolves issues within assigned functionPerforms all other job duties as assignedProvide high degree of professionalism and confidentiality in handling and having access to sensitive information.Takes accountability for entire process from receipt of work to resolution and closure. Provide recommendations on areas of opportunitiesAdvanced understanding of loan documentation and the ability to apply complex legal concepts to system entriesPerform advanced loan maintenance, code corrections and/or changes, reversals and reapplication of paymentsPerform manual interest accrual calculationsPerform loan boarding of complex loans to core operating systems with accuracyProcess complex loan modifications, conversions, and extensionsParticipate in the production year-end regulatory tax reporting and corrective reportingComply with dual control standards as requiredEnsure daily production goals are met and maintain qualityParticipate on assigned projectsPerform research with regard to complex loan and general ledger accountsManage complex syndication, participation, Equipment Finance and SWAP transactionsPerform complex manual system updates, form generation, and billing schedulesAssist with SBA, Federal Reserve Bank, and FHLB pledging reporting activitiesProvide cross-training to department teammates, as neededHandle escalated customer requestsSupport the functions outlined in the Loan Operations Associate I and Loan Operations Associate II roles as neededOrganizational Relationship This position reports to the Supervisor – Loan OperationsPosition QualificationsEducation & ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalent required3+ years loan servicing experience or 5 years of operations or related experience required Banking, accounting or finance experience requiredKnowledge & SkillsAdvanced experience with MS Office SuiteHigh level of accuracy and great attention to detailExcellent customer service skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsDetail oriented and quality focusedFlexible, able to adapt to changeAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesAble to handle and prioritize multiple assignmentsExperience with loan operations processes--required Familiar with complex loan documents and concepts--required Salary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program.
