Reports to: Operations Manager
Direct Reports: (Lead) Drivers
Hours: Full Time M-F some weekends required as needed
Pay: $60,000+ annually, Health, PTO, Paid Holidays
The Transportation Supervisor manages our drivers, scheduling, hiring and training. They are also responsible for truck maintenance, scheduling inbound and outbound deliveries and setting up fleet routes. This is a management position and requires a minimum of 2 years dispatching experience. Foodservice background strongly preferred. You will be responsible for providing leadership, coaching and training to our delivery drivers. In addition to that, you will also be responsible for ensuring total compliance with company policies and procedures and Federal and State laws. You will play a major role, by helping to continually meet and exceed customer expectations, while also meeting financial and strategic objectives. Establish direction and help senior management identify resources and remove barriers to goals.
Scheduling route drivers and routes. Establish work schedules & procedures while coordinating activities with other work units or departments.
Leads a team of drivers within the market ensuring proper coaching, training, performance management and talent management for direct reports.
Resolve work related problems in real time
Have a valid drivers license and DOT medical card
Ability to drive a 26ft non CDL box truck
Prepare and submit progress/KPI reports.
Encourage others to work as a team. Provides input and guidance to the team.
Responsible for trucks and material handling equipment, arrange for periodic maintenance and repair work.
Oversee all aspects of vehicles such as condition of equipment, loading, unloading, and safety of cargo.
Review and maintain pre-trip forms and reports.
Maintained all DOT compliance regulations for drivers and equipment.

Transportation Supervisor Qualifications
2+ years experience in a driving lead or management role required
2+ Shipping or logistics coordinating experience required
Proficient knowledge of typical warehouse procedures and policies preferred
ERP system experience preferred
Spanish speaker highly preferred
