You will guide a team of full-stack developers, contribute directly to product development, and help shape the technical direction of our platform while ensuring high standards of code quality, delivery, and collaboration.\nThe Responsibilities:\nThe position is responsible for the entire software development lifecycle, including:\nDevelop accurate project effort estimates and staffing assessments for development projects.\nContribute directly to product development by writing, reviewing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable, testable code.\nAnalyze, design, and document technical solutions that meet business needs across the full software development lifecycle.\nConduct comprehensive code reviews enforcing engineering, coding, and design standards.\nGuide the team in designing effective, efficient, scalable, and secure applications within the Educe Cloud software platform.\nDefine and enforce the company’s software development methodology in collaboration with engineering leadership.\nProactively identify technical risks in project deliverables and platform architecture and develop mitigation plans.\nStay current with emerging technology, AI tools and development innovations to enhance product and team performance.\nSupport enterprise software deployment, maintenance, and ongoing product improvements.\nTechnical Expertise:\nIn addition to criteria listed in the Basic Qualification, ideal applicants meet the following requirements:\nWeb technologies: Responsive Design, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON\nWeb services: REST and SOAP implemented using NodeJS and Express\nRelational and non-relational databases MySQL/AWS Aurora\nModern DevOps tools and techniques including GitHub, CI/CD, and Docker\nEnterprise application software installation and maintenance\nFront End: Vue.JS, React, AngularJS\nExperience incorporating Test Driven Development (TDD)\nExperience with information security best practices\nDemonstrable ability to resolve complex system or technical issues, often thinking on your feet, and offering multiple creative solutions or options\nHands-on experience using AI tools and agent workflow patterns to support the software development lifecycle.\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, or related technical/IT field from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience\nMinimum 10+ years full stack software development experience specific to the required technologies outlined above\n5+ years of experience leading engineering teams including performance management\nExperience with full systems development lifecycle concepts, including supporting enterprise software product(s) in a production environment\nProven ability to contribute to multiple products addressing diverse business challenges\nCapable of independently researching, analyzing, evaluating, and documenting issues, products, and solutions\nAbility to express oneself clearly in both verbal and written communication to technical and non-technical peers and stakeholders\nPassionate about customer service, producing high-quality deliverables, and follow-through\nAttention to detail, determined, and solution-oriented\nAbility to work autonomously, but also within a team environment\nAbility to travel to semi-annual firm meetings\nMust be able to pass a background check.\nU.S. citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply, we are unable to sponsor at this time.\nThis job is 100% REMOTE, or can be based in our Bethesda, MD headquarters or New York office.\nThe job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time.
