Paint TechnicianEssential Duties and Responsibilities
Mixes paint according to Paint Mix Work Instructions.
Moves and stores paint drums and buckets.
Keeps spray pots clean and orderly.
Properly maintains hazardous waste in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Paints surfaces evenly and consistently maintaining a steady flow of production.
Regularly identifies any defects in parts to ensure quality of production.
Maintains prompt and regular attendance as scheduled.
Works safely and without injury through adherence to all safety rules and guidelines.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Ability to read, write, verbalize and comprehend instructions and correspondence in the English language. Ability to effectively present information to all levels of the organization.
Must have adequate mathematical skills to count and calculate.
Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, balancing, stooping, reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, acuity-far, acuity-near, depth perception and field of vision.
Personal computer, SAP, InTouch, and other software specific to this position's duties.
Must be able to use but not limited to the following tools: spray gun, paint mixer, spray pots, packaging materials, utility knives, sandpaper, and PPE.
Must understand working with the automated machinery and fixtures in the area.
Environmental & Physical Demands
May require a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. May require lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance.
May be exposed to loud operating machinery, high or low temperatures due to uncontrolled climate environment, overhead racks weighing up to 50 pounds, chemicals, and vapors.
Employee is required to wear safety glasses, hearing protection where applicable, appropriate footwear and observe all safety rules.
