You will support the core training stack of our models with a combination of data science, creativity, and engineering skills. You'll be part of the real 'secret sauce' of TypeSafe, figuring out how our models can provide production-ready reliability in the real world.\r\nResponsibilities: On a day to day level, you might\r\nDesign and build reliable, production-grade AI systems that integrate large language models and our proprietary models into real-world workflows\r\nCreate high-leverage datasets, products, and user interfaces that unlock new capabilities and use cases on top of our model\r\nRun rigorous analyses and experiments to understand how data, training choices, and targeted interventions impact model behavior and performance\r\nDevelop and own evaluation frameworks to measure quality, reliability, and emergent characteristics across model iterations\r\nPartner closely with product managers and customers to translate real-world needs into concrete model and system improvements\r\nContinuously iterate, learn, and co-discover new techniques for building exceptional, trustworthy AI product\r\nOur tech stack is primarily Python. We also use TypeScript, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS for frontend, with Kubernetes for orchestration. We empower developers to use any tooling they find helpful for getting their job done, including Claude Code and Cursor.\r\nWho we're looking for\r\nHave 5+ years of professional software engineering, or equivalent professional expertise\r\nHave strong coding ability and product intuition\r\nEnjoy thinking beyond the code to how systems are used in the real world\r\nMaintain high attention to detail and a strong bar for quality\r\nCan describe complex problems succinctly and clearly\r\nCare deeply about our mission and are driven to translate it into real-world impact\r\nThrive in ambiguous problem spaces and take satisfaction in finding creative solutions\r\nHave hands-on experience implementing LLMs and understand their capabilities and limitations\r\nLife at TypeSafe\r\nWe're a small, flat, close-knit team dedicated to real-world impact preparing the world for Transformative AI.
