Quality Control Supervisor

Since 1946,we'verelied on our talented and dedicated team members to provide reliable products with personalized service.We're hiring a Quality Control Supervisor to join County Materials in Roberts, WI.Job Summary:The Quality Control Supervisor is a supervisory role that offers growth opportunities. This role supports local management in overseeing quality control activities for concrete manufacturing operations, ensuring products meet industry standards and customer specifications. The role supports continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and a safe work environment.Job Duties & Responsibilities:Prepare and submit quality-control inspection paperwork and reports.Collaborate with location management regarding DOT inspections and report-outs.Create and maintain mix designs.Oversee accelerated curing practices to ensure compliance with PCI and ASTM guidelines.Perform and supervise quality control inspections, checks, and tests, including materials and parts, throughout production manufacturing.Assign duties to and develop quality technicians.Coordinate with QC Manager, Operations Management and Plant Supervision for scheduling and correction of issues.Coordinate with the Batch Plant Operator on mix quantities and timing of mix deliveries.Apply standard concrete industry concepts, practices, and procedures.Observe production processes, including setup, casting, stripping, and storage, to ensure compliance.Partner with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues related to casting and concrete performance.Promote and enforce safety and housekeeping practices.Other duties as assigned.COUNTY Core Competencies: The expected behaviors of all COUNTY team members that align with Our Values and Our Commitments:Integrity & Organizational AwarenessCustomer First FocusResults Driven OrientationTeamwork, Safety & CollaborationProblem Solving & Decision MakingCreativity & InnovationJob-Based Competencies:Quality ControlMaterials & Product TestingQuality InspectionManufacturing ProcessesStandard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Data CollectionBlueprint ReadingLeadershipCommunicationSafety MindednessAttention to DetailExperience & Qualifications:Education:High school diploma or equivalentPreferred some college or technical trainingExperience and/or Training:2-4 Years of strong quality control experience within the industryConcrete plant and/or quality control experience requiredAbility to interpret shop drawings and job specificationsProficient in computer skills, mainly Microsoft Office productsSolid math aptitude requiredMust have the ability to obtain required technical certifications, PCI Levels I and II within six months of start.Licenses/Certificates:ACI Field Technician Level I - requiredPreferred, PCI Levels I and IIWork Environment:Work in indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperaturesWork near moving machinery and equipment - could include electrical hazardsWork in a noisy environmentPhysical & Work Expectations:An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above.
