This is an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new office serving industry leaders.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLeading and designing electrical systems and preparing construction documents with varying degrees of complexity. You will work with power, lighting, and power distribution systems.\n\nPrescriptive design for low voltage systems, including telecommunications, life safety and security systems.\n\nPreparing engineering studies for power and low voltage systems that survey existing conditions, evaluate capacities, and make recommendations for corrections and upgrades.\n\nCoordinating with other engineering team members, including those from other technical disciplines.\n\nTechnical writing for engineering documents.\n\nConducting site investigations to confirm and document field conditions.\n\nAttending and presenting deliverables in design review meetings and interfacing directly with clients.\n\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\n\nThorough understanding of basic NEC requirements, including electrical clearances, circuit sizing, de-rating, motor circuit design, transformer feeder design and separation of class 1/2/3 wiring.\n\nProficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook. EasyPower and SKM experience is a plus.\n\nDedicated and committed to doing what it takes to get the job done. Must be punctual and results-oriented!\n\nInterested in professional growth.\n\nWilling to learn quickly and independently.\n\nTeam players and good at both verbal and written communication.\n\nHighly organized with the ability to lead and follow instructions.\n\nRequired to complete project requirements from scoping through design and commissioning.\n\nEducation and Experience:\n\nBSEE or equivalent degree from an accredited university.\n\n7+ years of experience as an independent designer/engineer.\n\nExperience with advanced technology and industrial clients is preferred.\n\nPE license, or ability to obtain PE registration within six months of starting.\n\nPlease identify any relevant skills you might have, such as AutoCAD or Revit, or electrical system modeling software such as SKM or EasyPower.
