This role is ideal for a college student seeking hands-on experience and exposure to a wide range of HR functions in a professional environment. The HR Intern will assist with day-to-day HR operations, support ongoing projects, and gain meaningful insight into how an HR department supports the organization.This internship offers the opportunity to take ownership of select responsibilities while learning from and shadowing members of the HR team.Key Responsibilities:Build professional relationships with coworkers and internal partnersLearn about First International Bank & Trust and the organization's Mission, Vision, and ValuesAssist with day-to-day HR tasks, which may include:Timekeeping support and reviewOnboarding of new employeesMaintaining and archiving proper correspondence, documents, and legal filesAssisting with HR audits and report requestsResearch related to HR programs, policies, or initiativesSupporting wellness initiatives and other HR programsAssist with or own ad hoc projects and special assignmentsShadow HR team members to gain exposure to various HR roles and responsibilitiesIdentify opportunities for efficiency or process improvementPrepare for, attend, and actively participate in meetings by asking questions and taking notesQualifications:Current enrollment in an accredited university or collegiate program is requiredPursuing a degree in a closely related field such as Human Resources, Business, Management, or a related disciplineStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learnInterest in Human Resources and the ability to handle confidential information appropriatelyFirst International Bank and Trust is a family-owned full-service Community Bank with locations in ND, MN, SD, and AZ.We show our employees we care by providing competitive benefits and training and growth opportunities.
