Responsibilities:\nDesign and maintain enterprise virtualization environments using VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, NSX, and related technologies.\nArchitect hybrid cloud solutions supporting Azure Government, AWS GovCloud, and private cloud environments.\nLead infrastructure modernization and migration projects.\nOptimize compute, storage, networking, and virtualization resources.\nDevelop automation using PowerCLI, PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.\nImplement disaster recovery, replication, backup, and business continuity solutions.\nCollaborate with network, storage, cybersecurity, and application teams to deliver integrated infrastructure services.\nEnsure compliance with Department of State security policies, RMF, STIGs, and federal cybersecurity requirements.\nProduce architecture documentation, engineering designs, implementation plans, and operational procedures.\nSupport capacity planning, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.\n8+ years of virtualization engineering experience.\nAdvanced knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies.\nExperience with enterprise storage, SAN technologies, backup solutions, and cloud integration.\nExperience supporting large-scale federal or government enterprise environments.\nSecurity+ CE or higher certification.\nPreferred Certifications\nVMware VCAP or VCDX\nMicrosoft Azure Administrator or Solutions Architect\nAWS Solutions Architect\nRed Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)\nVMware Cloud Foundation certifications\nClearance Requirement\nActive security clearance (Secret or Top Secret)\nAbout Acuity\nAt Acuity, your work matters—and so does your experience.
