This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the clinical, educational, and research activities of the Pediatric PM&R Division while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.The Division Chief will lead a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive care to pediatric patients with neuromuscular disorders, congenital conditions, and trauma-related injuries, while advancing program growth, quality initiatives, and academic excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical LeadershipProvide inpatient and outpatient care to pediatric PM&R patientsDevelop individualized treatment plans using medical, therapeutic, and rehabilitative interventionsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams including neurology, orthopedics, surgery, and therapy servicesShare coverage of the inpatient rehabilitation unit, consult services, outpatient physiatry, and multidisciplinary clinicsPractice evidence-based medicine to optimize outcomes and patient safetyAdministrative & Division LeadershipLead daily operations, growth, and quality improvement initiatives for the PM&R DivisionRecruit, mentor, evaluate, and support physicians and clinical staffMonitor productivity, quality, and financial performance; participate in budget developmentEstablish quality metrics and annual physician goalsServe as a liaison between the division, Phoenix Children's leadership, and PCMG administrationEducation & ResearchProvide educational leadership for medical students, residents, fellows, and allied health professionalsParticipate in teaching rounds, lectures, and academic conferencesSupport and advance clinical research initiatives within Pediatric PM&RCollaboration & OutreachBuild relationships with internal departments, external institutions, and community partnersSupport referral pathways, outreach programs, and satellite expansion as neededQualificationsMD or DO with board certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (pediatric subspecialty preferred)Eligibility for Arizona medical licensureDemonstrated clinical excellence in Pediatric PM&RProven leadership experience in clinical and/or academic settingsStrong communication, collaboration, and mentorship skillsCommitment to education, research, and program developmentExperience or interest in botulinum toxin and phenol injections preferredAbout Phoenix Children'sPhoenix Children's is a freestanding, nonprofit pediatric healthcare system with 533 beds and Arizona's only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center.
