The Program Instructor promotes client independence, health, safety, dignity, and community integration while ensuring compliance with Title 17, Title 22, and other applicable regulatory requirements.\nEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities\nProvide direct care, supervision, training, and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in accordance with Individual Program Plans (IPPs), Individual Service Plans (ISPs), behavior support plans, and Company policies.\nAssist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, bathing, toileting, eating, mobility, and other personal care needs.\nSupport clients in achieving personal goals and developing skills that promote independence, self-sufficiency, and community integration.\nObserve, monitor, and document client behaviors, progress, health status, incidents, and significant events accurately and timely.\nMaintain accurate client records, daily notes, medication records, and other required documentation.\nMonitor client health and safety and promptly report injuries, illnesses, incidents, suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation, or other unusual occurrences in accordance with Company policies and mandated reporting requirements.\nImplement behavior support plans, training programs, and individualized services as directed.\nAssist clients with recreational, vocational, educational, and community-based activities.\nSafely transport clients to appointments, activities, and community outings when assigned.\nAssist clients with entering, exiting, and riding safely in vehicles.\nMaintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and organized environment for clients.\nAssist with meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry, shopping, and other household responsibilities as assigned.\nFollow all applicable federal, state, local, licensing, and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.\nProtect client rights, dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.\nAttend and successfully complete required meetings, certifications, and training programs.\nRespond appropriately to emergencies, behavioral incidents, and crisis situations.\nWork collaboratively with coworkers, supervisors, family members, service coordinators, healthcare providers, and other members of the client's support team.\nPerform other duties as assigned to support client care, program operations, and regulatory compliance.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.\nExperience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, seniors, or other vulnerable populations is preferred but not required.\nAbility to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.\nAbility to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions, policies, procedures, and client care plans.\nAbility to maintain accurate and timely documentation and records.\nAbility to exercise sound judgment, maintain professionalism, and work independently as well as collaboratively with others.\nAbility to maintain confidentiality and protect client rights at all times.\nAbility to successfully complete and maintain all required training, certifications, and clearances.\nCurrent CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain and maintain certification within required timeframes.\nSuccessful completion of all pre-employment screening requirements, including DOJ/FBI background clearance, health screening, TB clearance, and any other requirements mandated by federal, state, local, licensing, or funding agencies.\nValid California Driver License, reliable transportation, acceptable driving record, and proof of automobile insurance if driving is required as part of the position.\nAbility to safely transport clients when assigned.\nAbility to meet all requirements established by Title 17, Title 22, Community Care Licensing, Regional Centers, and other applicable regulatory agencies.\nBasic computer skills and the ability to utilize electronic documentation, communication, scheduling, and training systems.\nAbility to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.\nWe value team members who are patient, professional, reliable, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.\nPhysical Requirements and Work Environment\nEmployees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
